I have extensive journalistic experience, primarily in business, but with a specialism and particular interest in media, marketing and technology and how they interconnect. While most of my commissions are for in-depth features or analysis, I also have extensive news-writing experience.
Alongside my traditional journalistic experience, I have written a variety of online and offline materials for a wide range of companies, from a data protection specialist, to a marketing services agency and a leadership advisory firm. This has taken the form of blogs, brochures, website copy or other types of marketing material.
I have been responsible for writing blogs and thought leadership material, sometimes of a highly technical nature, to showcase the work of various companies in an engaging and accessible format. I have knowledge of how blogs can and should fit with overall marketing and social media strategy.

Should you be an expert in your field, but your mind goes blank when you put pen to paper, I can write it for you! For example, I have written booklets, manifestos and forewords for books.

If your copy needs re-ordering or polishing, I can do this quickly and easily with minimal to and fro and to a tight deadline.

I have an awareness of how to tailor writing to the digital age, including SEO and other digital marketing techniques to ensure your copy gets viewed by as many people as possible.

I have experience of launching and re-launching publications and knowledge of what is needed to build audiences and optimise design. I can also advise on all aspects of content marketing, from email newsletters to social media strategy.

With extensive experience of interviewing senior industry figures as well as celebrities, I can put you or your clients’ minds at rest when it comes to dealing with media enquiries. I have also delivered writing and editorial training to small and large in-house marketing and communications teams.

I have written press and news releases for a variety of organisations and frequently advise on story angles and building relationships with journalists. PRs frequently call me to run story ideas past me and for advice on how best to present them to target publications. I can also help out with my extensive network of contacts.
If you want live, up-to-the-minute coverage of any event, I can produce news, blogs or analysis to drive interest and engagement with your event and your brand. I regularly cover events for brands, media agencies, publishers and trade bodies. In 2014, for instance, I attended the Davos World Economic Forum on behalf of Renault and Nissan and Cannes Advertising Festival for Havas Media Group and Persuasion Communications. I frequently write thought leadership material for trade associations at their events - for instance, the Internet Advertising Bureau and Market Research Society conferences.
